The Monhegan House has long been recognized by our guests for our exceptional standards of cleanliness. To address the specific concerns surrounding COVID-19 and to ensure the safety and well being of our customers, employees and others, we have implemented measures such as:

  • Hand washing / sanitizing stations and products are located throughout the hotel
  • Sanitizing wipes are available for guest use in all public areas, including the shared bath facilities
  • Bathrooms and other public areas are sanitized at regular and frequent intervals throughout the day
  • Housekeeping services during stays of two nights or less are by request only
  • Face coverings will be worn by employees during all face to face guest interactions
  • Guests are asked to maintain social distancing in all public areas
  • Guests are urged to wear face coverings in all public spaces, including our dining room (masks may be removed when eating meals).
  • Non-vaccinated guests are REQUIRED to wear masks at all times (except when eating and/or drinking) and maintain social distancing throughout the property.

In March of 2020, the plantation of Monhegan formed the Monhegan COVID-19 Task Force to address the unique and specific needs of our community.  Please click here to access the resources they have created and review other pertinent information.

The Monhegan House is fully committed to doing everything within our power to ensure the safety of our guests, our staff, and the population of Monhegan.
